Yay for organized bookshelves! After my fiancee built me a new bookshelf, I reorganized all the books and DVDs in my room.
The new shelf (image on left) is DVDs, Manga, Kid’s Lit, and YA fiction. My second shelf (image in the middle) is A-K fiction books (by author’s name). My third shelf (first shelf in image on right) is L-Z fiction books. And my fourth shelf (second sehlf in image on right) is my nonfiction (writing, teaching, history, theatre, costuming, crafting, drawing, etc) books, my Doctor Who books (I’m a obsessive nerd), plays, and library books.
I feel very accomplished and proud considering nearly an entire bookshelf full of these books were once stacked in towering piles covering the shelves or sitting on my floor before yesterday afternoon/evening.
Of course, I’m not sure what I’ll do when I get more books as the year progresses…? I don’t have room for another book shelf in my room… (I’m such a book addict!)

I thought is picture was adorable and had to share. I’ve had those moments too when I felt like I was being eaten by all my books…but in a good sort of way. ;)

This image is another great example of the mansion/house I have pictured in my head for my current W. I. P. And it fits well with the tone of my story.

I found this picture and thought it perfectly matched the image in my head of the mansion/house in my current W. I. P. I imagined a large, elegant style building covered in ivy that seems to have taken over control. Plus my main character has a large window in her room that she looks out to see the wild forest near the house. Perfect inspiration and definitely going on my story board!

I think the building in the background is beautiful, especially with the snow all around, and the photo has a dream-like quality to it…but the main reason I love this photo is because of *that* hat. I want that kitty-ears hat! *squee*
My friend who knows me all too well posted this image on my Facebook wall earlier and I just had to share it here on my tumblr. It made me happy since it combined my love of LotR and DW. <3
